Butanedioic acid, sulfo-, 4-[2-[(1-oxo-10-undecenyl)amino]ethyl] ester, disodium salt

Put monoethanolamine and maleic anhydride in a molar ratio of 1.25:1 into the reaction kettle, and carry out the esterification reaction at 140-150°C under alkali catalysis. The acid value is measured after 4-8 hours of reaction, and the reaction is over when the acid value drops to 5 mgKOH/g. After the treatment, the ester is injected into the sulfonation kettle, and sodium bisulfite is added for sulfonation. The molar ratio of ester to sodium bisulfite is controlled at 1:1.05. A certain amount of ethanol is added as a solvent, and the reaction is carried out at 110-120°C for 2 hours, and the sulfonation is completed. The sulfonated product is fed into the acylation kettle, and undecylenyl chloride is added to carry out the acylation reaction.

Because this product has anti-dandruff and bactericidal effect (high antifungal activity against fungi and bacteria), it is often used in the preparation of shampoo, shampoo, children~"s soap and cosmetics. The added amount of 2% in shampoo has antipruritic effect.
