ChEBI: An oxalate salt resulting from the formal reaction of equimolar amounts of thiocyclam and oxalic acid. A nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist, it was used as a broad-spectrum insecticide. It is not approved for use within the European Union.
Thiocyclam oxalate is an oxalate salt resulting from the formal reaction of equimolar amounts of thiocyclam and oxalic acid. A nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist, it was used as a broad-spectrum insecticide. It is not approved for use within the European Union. It has a role as an agrochemical, a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist and an insecticide. It contains a thiocyclam(1+) and an oxalate(1-).

Thiocyclam hydrogen oxalate Use and Manufacturing
From chloropropene as the starting material, 3-N, N-dimethylamino-1, 2-diaminopropane dichloropropane is prepared by amination and chlorination, and its hydrochloride and sodium thiosulfate are reacted to prepare 2 -N, N-Dimethylamino-1-thiosulfate-3-sodium thiosulfate propane (abbreviated as monosodium salt), and then cyclized with sodium sulfide to form a salt.
Selective pesticides. With stomach poison, contact, systemic effect. The effective period for controlling Lepidoptera and Coleoptera pests is 7-14 days. It can also control parasitic nematodes, such as rice white-tip nematode, and has certain control effects on rust and white ear disease of some crops.
