7-CHLORO-8-METHYLQUINOLINE Use and Manufacturing
The preparation method is that water, sulfuric acid, 3-chloro-2-methylaniline and sodium iodide are sequentially added into the reaction kettle, heated under negative pressure, and glycerin is slowly added. After the addition, react for a certain period of time, while dehydrating and absorbing the generated sulfur dioxide with lye. After the reaction is completed, move to a neutralization kettle containing water to cool down, add solvent oil, neutralize with sodium hydroxide solution, filter, and stand for separation. The oil layer is desolventized to obtain a finished product.
7-chloro-8-methylquinoline is an intermediate of the herbicide dichloroquinoline.
