A water soluble bifunctional fluorogenic reagent for the sensitive and specific detection of thiols in biological specimens or proteins.SBD-F has high reactivity to thiol compounds to attain low detection limits; no flourescence in itself; biological buffersolublility; stability at RT in water for >1 week. The optimal condition for reaction was 60oC and pH 9.5 for 1 h.Please refer to the following references for more specific information regarding the application of SBD-F as a fluorogenic reagent for detection of cysteine containing peptides.Fluorescence: max Abs. l = 380 nm, max Em. l = 515 nm; Molar Abs. > 4x103 (ca. 317nm)
