albofungin Use and Manufacturing

Albofungin is a polyaromatic heterocycle containing a rare N-aminoamide, isolated from a Streptomyces speciesin Russia in 1959. Albofungin exhibits a broad biological profile with antibiotic, antifungal, anthelmintic and very potent antitumor activity. The mode of action of albofungin has not been investigated.
