Cyclopentanol, 3-amino-, hydrochloride (1:1) Use and Manufacturing
A mixture of compound 4 (8.0 g, 34 mmol) in MeOH (100 mL) was added concentrated HCl (10 mL), and heated to reflux for 2 h. The mixture was concentrated in vacuo. The residue was dissolved with water and washed with EA. The aqueous phase was concentrated in vacuo to give the desired product with HCl salt (2.8 g, 82 percent).
