5-AMINO-2-METHOXY-3-METHYLPYRIDINE HCL Use and Manufacturing

(lc) 6-Methoxy-5-methyl-3-pyridinamine [Formula 10]; 2-Methoxy-3-methyl-5-nitropyridine (1.63 g, 9.71 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (50 ml), 10percent Pd- on-carbon powder (50percent water content article) (800 mg) was added, and stirred under hydrogen atmosphere for 2 hours and 10 minutes. After the reaction was completed, celite filtration was carried out, the solvent was evaporated, thereby yielding the title compound (1.25 g, 0.90 mmol, 93percent) as a blue oily substance.
