Description

Barium antimonate can be prepared by the solid-state reaction of BaO or BaCO3 with Sb2O5 in air at about 1200°C. Barium antimonate, BaSb2O6, has been tested as an opacifier in enamels used on cast iron. Barium antimonate has been found to be a useful additive to varistor-ceramic compositions.
