2-Bromo-3-trifluoromethylpyridine Use and Manufacturing

Weigh 4.2g of Diosgenin, 0.8 g of sodium ethoxide was dissolved in 100 mL of n-propanol in a 500 mL three-necked flask, and then 2.5 g of 3-trifluoromethyl-2-bromo-pyridine was added, and the mixture was heated with stirring at 60 C for 36 hours. TLC (developing solvent: petroleum Ether-ethyl acetate (1: 1), developer: 5% phosphomolybdic acid ethanol solution) Detect all reactions of diosgenin, evaporate n-propanol, cool to room temperature, add 80 mL of water, and extract 3 times with chloroform (100 mL × 3), TLC followed the process of separation and purification of the product, the extract was recovered chloroform, and the solid was dried at 60 C. for 4 h to obtain 3.0 g of the product as a light yellow powder.
