Peroxydicarbonic acid, C,C′-bis(2-phenoxyethyl) ester Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Sodium phenolate is prepared from phenol and caustic soda, reacted with chloroethanol to obtain 2-phenoxyethanol, and then reacted with phosgene to synthesize 2-phenoxyethyl chloroformate, and then reacted with sodium peroxide to prepare the initiator BPPD. The BPPD content of industrial products is ≥85%. Raw material consumption (kg/t) phenol 760 chloroethanol (30%) 2700 hydrogen peroxide (30%) 580

Uses

Efficient polymer initiator, also used as rubber vulcanization accelerator.
