4-(BROMOMETHYL)-BENZOIC ACID, 1,1-DIMETHYLETHYL ESTER Use and Manufacturing
The preparation method is to add 0.56g tert-butanol, 0.395g pyridine and 1.75g 4-bromomethylbenzoyl chloride into a three-necked flask equipped with a stirrer and a thermometer, and react at 10-30°C for 5h. After the reaction was completed, 10 mL of water was added to the reaction flask, transferred to a separatory funnel, and extracted with ethyl acetate. The extracts were combined, washed with dilute acid and separated to remove the acid aqueous layer, and then dissolved under reduced pressure to obtain 0.98 g of tert-butyl 4-bromomethylbenzoate with a yield of 72.0%.
4-Bromomethylbenzoic acid tert-butyl ester is an intermediate for the synthesis of acaricide acaricide.
