To the solution of 2, 4-dibromothiazole (50 g, 207 mmol, 1.0 eq.) in EtA mixture of ethyl 4-bromothiazole-2-carboxylate 10a(350 mg, 1.48 mmol) and LiOH (89.0mg, 3.72 mmol) in MeOH (6.00 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour.The resulting mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, diluted with water, and washed with diethyl ether. The aqueous phase was acidified with HCl1.0 M to pH~1 and extracted with diethyl ether (3 x 50 mL). The combined organic layer was dried over MgSO
