Description
ChEBI: A tertiary amino compound that consists of cyclohexane having piperidin-1-yl and benzothiophen-2-yl groups attached at position 1. A potent dopamine re-uptake inhibitor with a behavioral profile different from that of phencyclidine (PCP) and similar to tha of cocaine.
1-[1-(1-benzothiophen-2-yl)cyclohexyl]piperidine is a tertiary amino compound that consists of cyclohexane having piperidin-1-yl and benzothiophen-2-yl groups attached at position 1. A potent dopamine re-uptake inhibitor with a behavioral profile different from that of phencyclidine (PCP) and similar to that of cocaine. It has a role as a dopamine uptake inhibitor. It is a member of 1-benzothiophenes, a member of piperidines and a tertiary amino compound. It is a conjugate base of a 1-[1-(1-benzothiophen-2-yl)cyclohexyl]piperidinium(1+).
