Methods of Manufacturing

The pre-cooled acrolein is added dropwise to the pre-cooled anhydrous ethanol-hydrogen chloride saturated solution to react. The reactant is divided into two layers, the lower acetal is separated, neutralized with powdered sodium bicarbonate, and filtered. The filtrate was washed with ice water, dried, and distilled under reduced pressure to collect 58-62°C (1.07kPa) fractions to obtain the product. The yield is 34%.
