Dehydroluciferin is a member of the class of 1,3-thiazolemonocarboxylic acids that is 1,3-thiazole-4-carboxylic acid in which the hydrogen at position 2 has been replaced by a 6-hydroxy-1,3-benzothiazol-2-yl group.
