Calcium bromide is an inorganic salt with the molecular formula of CaBr2 and a molecular weight of 199.89. It is a colorless oblique needle-shaped crystal or block, odorless, salty and bitter. Its relative density is 3.353 (25°C). It is very soluble in water, and its aqueous solution is neutral. It is soluble in ethanol, acetone and acid, slightly soluble in methanol and liquid ammonia, and insoluble in ether or chloroform.
