Description

It appears as orange or yellow crystalline powder with the Mp being 268-272°C (decomposition). It is slightly soluble in water and easily soluble in dimethylformamide. In aqueous solution, it can be gradually transformed into trans-and hydrolysis. Cisplatin is a white powder or yellow crystalline solid; freezing/melting point = 270°C (decomposes). Soluble in waterChEBI: A diamminedichloroplatinum compound in which the two ammine ligands and two chloro ligands are oriented in a cis planar conf

Cisplatin is a Platinum-based Drug.|Cisplatin is an alkylating-like inorganic platinum agent (cis-diamminedichloroplatinum) with antineoplastic activity. Cisplatin forms highly reactive, charged, platinum complexes which bind to nucleophilic groups such as GC-rich sites in DNA inducing intrastrand and interstrand DNA cross-links, as well as DNA-protein cross-links. These cross-links result in apoptosis and cell growth inhibition.|An inorganic and water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts with DNA to produce both intra and interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity of cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in the G2 phase of the cell cycle.

Drug Function and Efficacy

This product is a metal platinum complex and a periodic nonspecific anti-tumor drug. It has a broad anti-tumor spectrum and is effective against hypoxic cells. This product rapidly dissociates in the low-chlorine environment of cells and binds to intracellular biomacromolecules (the main target is DNA) in the form of hydrated cations to form inter-chain, intra-chain crosslinks or protein-DNA crosslinks, thereby destroying the structure and function of DNA.

This ingredient has been used in drugs with the following functions (note: it does not mean that the ingredient itself has the following health functions)
