Drug Information

4-amino-N,N-diethylaniline

Diethyl-p-phenylenediamine sulfate Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

N, N-Diethylaniline is nitrosated with sodium nitrite in a hydrochloric acid medium to generate p-nitroso-N, N-diethylaniline hydrochloride, and then reduced with iron powder to generate p-amino-N, N-diethyl Aniline hydrochloride, neutralized with alkali to obtain p-amino-N, N-diethylaniline. Finally, the product is obtained by salting with sulfuric acid. Raw material consumption quota: N, N-diethylaniline (95%) 940kg/t, sulfuric acid (98%) 4000kg/t, nitric acid (95%) 577kg/t.

Uses

It is used to analyze sulfide in environmental testing, and also used as color photo developer
