Methods of Manufacturing

It is derived from the action of hexachloroethane and hydrofluoric acid.

Uses

1. It is an efficient cleaning agent and dry cleaning agent, suitable for cleaning various mechanical parts, electronics, instruments, meters, aviation equipment, films, magnetic tapes, textiles, etc. 2. Used as an extractant for extracting natural organic compounds. 3. Used as a solvent for electrolytic tests and as a refrigerant for convection evaporative media. 4. Used as polyurethane foaming agent. 5. Used as coolant and gas agent for cutting oil, and can also be mixed with other solvents such as methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, chloroform, etc. as a mixed cleaning agent for cleaning metals, plastics, fabrics and leather. 6. It is the main raw material for the production of polychlorotrifluoroethylene products. CFC-113 can be easily isomerized into CFC-113a, which is an important organic synthesis intermediate.
