Diazotized with p-anisidine with sodium nitrite and hydrochloric acid to generate p-methoxybenzenediazonium chloride, and then react with sodium sulfate and sodium hydroxide to generate sodium p-methoxydiazonium sulfonate. The latter is obtained by reducing zinc powder-acetic acid.
Intermediate for indomethacin.
