Tungstic acid (H2WO4) Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

The calcium tungstate-hydrochloric acid decomposition method pulverizes wolframite and reacts with sodium hydroxide to produce sodium tungstate. The solution is filtered, purified, and then metathesized with calcium chloride solution to obtain calcium tungstate, which is then treated with hydrochloric acid. The generated tungstic acid is washed, dried and pulverized to obtain a finished product of tungstic acid. After alkaline hydrolysis of wolframite and sodium hydroxide by ammonium paratungstate-hydrochloric acid decomposition method, it is reacted with hydrochloric acid and ammonium chloride solution, filtered and washed to obtain refined ammonium tungstate solution, and then hydrolyzed with hydrochloric acid to obtain tungstic acid. Dehydrate, dry, and pulverize to obtain tungstic acid products.

Uses

Mainly used to make metal tungsten, tungsten wire, cemented carbide, tungstate, and also used as printing and dyeing auxiliary; textile industry mordant, also used in the preparation of tungsten, tungsten wire; mainly used to make metal tungsten, Tungsten wire, tungstate, cemented carbide, etc. Also used as petrochemical catalyst, printing and dyeing auxiliary and lubricant.
