Description
Manganese fluoride is a kind of inorganic compound, red crystal, density 3.54g/cm3, molar mass 111.938 g/ mole, dissolved in a small amount of water, in a large amount of water or heating, to obtain basic manganese fluoride, toxic. It is a strong fluorinator that reacts with sulfur, boron, silicon, carbon, phosphorus trichloride and carbon tetrachloride when heated.

Manganese fluoride (MnF3) Use and Manufacturing
Manganese fluoride is produced by the reaction of manganese iodide with fluorine. Manganese fluoride can be used to convert hydrocarbons into fluorocarbons, or fluorinated agents. It is used as Lewis acid in organic synthesis to prepare a variety of organic compounds. Manganese trifluoride exhibits interesting magnetic properties, and its potential uses in magnetic materials and devices have been investigated.
