Description
Colorless crystals. Soluble in water; reacts with explosive violence with many organic sol- vents; explodes on grinding. The silver perchlorate salt, is deliquescent and forms a light-sensitive monohydrate that can be dehydrated at 43 °C and is soluble in a variety of organic solvents. Explosions of silver perchlorate have been reported.

Silver perchlorate Use and Manufacturing
In the double decomposition method, the sodium perchlorate solution is added to the reactor, and the added silver chloride is heated to carry out the double decomposition reaction to form silver perchlorate and sodium chloride. The sodium chloride is removed by filtration, the filtrate is concentrated by evaporation, cooled and crystallized, and then refined After filtration, the filtrate was crystallized by cooling, centrifuged, and dried to obtain silver perchlorate. Its NaClO4+AgCl→AgC1O4+NaCl
In the explosives industry.
