Methods of Manufacturing

It is made from the seeds of corn crops (Zea mays), extracted with a solvent and then refined and decolorized and deodorized to remove free fatty acids, phospholipids, pigments, odorous substances and other non-greasy substances.

Uses

Usually used in research applications as delivery vehicle for fat-soluble compounds including toxins. Coating agent; emulsifier; forming aid; tissue improver. Can be eaten or used to make soap, etc.
