Methods of Manufacturing

It is obtained from the bark and trunk of European white birch tree (Betula pendula or B. Lenta, etc.) of the birch family, dry distillation, and then impregnated with warm water, the essential oil is precipitated by the action of enzyme, and then refined by steam distillation, the yield is about 0.1 %~0.2%. The yield of dry distillation initial oil is 20% to 30%. Mainly produced in the former Soviet Union, Finland and Sweden and other countries.

Uses

my country~"s GB 2760-96 stipulates that it is temporarily allowed to use edible spices. Mainly used in tobacco, cakes, jellybeans and gumdrops. Abroad is mainly used for flavoring birch beer.
