Description
Blue chamomile oil (German chamomile oil) is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers and stalks of Chamomilla recutita (L.) Rauschert (Matricaria recutita. L., Matricaria chamomilla L., Asteraceae). For oil production, chamomile is grown mainly in Eastern Europe (Hungary, Bulgaria) and Egypt. Few tons are produced annually. It is derived from the flowers and stalks of the Asteraceae herb Matricaria (also known as Matricaria chamomilla) by steam distillation. The yield is 0.3% to 1.5%. Mainly produced in Germany, Hungary, the former Soviet Union, Yugoslavia and other countries, and also produced in my country.
