Description

Brown-red crystalline powder

Cytochromes of the c type that are found in eukaryotic MITOCHONDRIA. They serve as redox intermediates that accept electrons from MITOCHONDRIAL ELECTRON TRANSPORT COMPLEX III and transfer them to MITOCHONDRIAL ELECTRON TRANSPORT COMPLEX IV.

Drug Function and Efficacy

It is a protein with iron porphyrin as a cofactor, which can carry out reversible redox reaction, transfer electrons and is essential for cell respiration. When tissues are hypoxic, exogenous agents can enter cells and play a role in correcting cell respiration and material metabolism.
