5-Fluoro-1-tetralone Use and Manufacturing

A round bottom flask was charged with 0.15 g of 4-(2-fluorophenyl)butanoic acid, which was dissolved in 20 mL DCM and cooled to 0° C. Oxalyl chloride (0.15 mL) was added, followed by 1 drop of DMF. To 4-(2-fluorophenyl)butanoic acid was added polyphosphoric acid (75percent, 100 g), and the mixture was stirred at 150°C for 1.5 hr. e)
