Fluorescein, diacetate Use and Manufacturing

Uses

Esterase substrate. FDA can penetrate cell membranes and accumulate in living cells as fluorescein. Since fluorescein is less hydrophilic than BCECF or Calcein, the amount of fluorescein leaking from cells is also high. FDA can also be used for flow cytometry. The excitation and emission wavelengths of fluorescein are 488 nm and 530 nm, respectively.
