Guanidine, N,N-dimethyl-, sulfate (2:1) Use and Manufacturing
The preparation method is to disperse S-methyl isothiourea sulfate in cold water, slowly add 33% dimethylamine aqueous solution and stir constantly. After the reaction is complete, the solution is concentrated under reduced pressure until crystals are precipitated. Cool to 0°C and filter to obtain crystals. The mother liquor can be concentrated again to obtain crystals. The crystals are combined, washed with methanol and dried to obtain the finished product. In addition, cyanamide can also be reacted with dimethylamine to form 1, 1-dimethylguanidine sulfate.
N,N-Dimethylguanidine sulfate is an intermediate in the synthesis of pesticide anti-aphicarb.
