A violet dye used asa chemical indicator and as a biologicalstain. It is also the colouring matterin methylated spirits. It is amixture of compounds of rosaniline,made by oxidizing dimethylphenylaminewith copper(II) chloride.


A dye that is a mixture of violet rosanilinis with antibacterial, antifungal, and anthelmintic properties.
