Methods of Manufacturing

The preparation method is to add propionic acid and a certain amount of catalyst PCl3 into the reaction kettle, and pass chlorine gas at 120~125℃ to control the relative density of the reactants to reach the end of the reaction, stop the chlorine gas flow, cool to room temperature, use air or Nitrogen removes excess chlorine and hydrogen chloride, and the product is obtained by fractional distillation under reduced pressure. CH3CH2COOH+Cl2[PCl3]→CH3CHClCOOH+HCl
