N(6)-carboxymethyl-L-lysine is an L-lysine derivative with a carboxymethyl substituent at the N(6)-position. It has a role as an antigen. It is a L-lysine derivative and a non-proteinogenic L-alpha-amino acid.|N(6)-Carboxymethyllysine is a lysine derivative found in proteins where the epsilon nitrogen of the amino acid residue is modified by a carboxymethyl group.
