Description

1-Hexyne is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H10. It is a colorless, transparent liquid with a special pungent odor and a low boiling point. It is insoluble in water, but soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene, etc. Its melting point is -132°C, boiling point is 71.424 °C, 760 mmHg, flash point is −6°F, and density is 0.738g/cm3. It is a highly reactive and volatile terminal alkyne.
