Benzeneselenol Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Replace the air in the reaction system with dry hydrogen, react bromobenzene and magnesium in absolute ether to produce phenyl magnesium bromide, and then add dry selenium powder under stirring and refluxing. The mixture was poured into crushed ice, and concentrated hydrochloric acid was added to react. After the reactants are stratified, the organic phase is taken to distill the ether, and the residue is distilled under reduced pressure to collect the 57-59°C (1.07kPa) fraction to obtain selenophenol.

Uses

Used in synthesis reactions.
