Lithium acetate dihydrate Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Derived from the reaction of lithium carbonate and acetic acid. Take 740g of lithium carbonate, add 1L of water, and slowly add about 1200g of 98% acetic acid under heating and constant stirring. This reaction emits a large amount of carbon dioxide, and control the acid addition rate to prevent the solution from overflowing. When almost no carbon dioxide escapes, add 50-100ml of acetic acid and boil for 20min. After filtering, the filtrate is evaporated to a saturated state and then cooled to room temperature, the crystals are filtered out, and dried at low temperature to obtain lithium acetate.

Separation of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids; pharmaceutical industry for the preparation of diuretics; raw materials for lithium ion batteries
