Pentafluorobenzene is a fluorinated benzene with anesthetic properties. Pentafluorobenzene has been shown to potently and reversibly inhibited human α4β2 neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptor dependent on drug hydrophobicity in Xenopus laevis oocyte.
