B. Synthesis of 2, 4, 5-Trichlorobenzoic Acid 9 2, 4, 5-Trichlorobenzaldehyde (0.275 g., 1.31 mmol) is dissolved in 8 mL acetone. A slight excess of Jones Reagent is added, and the mixture stirred at room temperature for 1 hour.
