4-Acetamidobenzenesulfonyl chloride Use and Manufacturing
Acetanilide chlorosulfonation The following are two examples of industrial operations. Operation Add 67.5 kg of acetamidobenzene to 290 kg of chlorosulfonic acid with stirring, control the feeding temperature below 15°C, gradually increase the temperature to 60°C after addition, keep stirring for 2 h, and then gradually add the reactant to ice water to dilute , Keep the temperature below 10 ℃, filter, rinse with ice water until the Congo red test paper is neutral. Get acetamidobenzenesulfonyl chloride. Operation Acetamidobenzene was added to chlorosulfonic acid evenly below 20°C. By weight, acetanilide: chlorosulfonic acid = 1:5.26, and reacted at 50 ± 2°C for 3 hours. After being left for 8h, about 20℃ below, add appropriate amount of water to decompose excess chlorosulfonic acid, the temperature does not exceed 28℃, a little cold, filter, wash the filter cake to pH=3-4, to get acetamidosulfonyl chloride. The yield was 83%. This product is not suitable for long-term storage. As an intermediate product of medicine and dye production, the content is 30%.
Intermediate in the preparation of sulfanilamide and its derivatives.
