Cyclobutanemethanamine Use and Manufacturing

General procedure: To a N2-purged solution of 19 (1 equiv.) in DCM (4 mL per equiv. of 19) was added K2CO3 (5 equiv.) and the corresponding amine (2.5 equiv.) (3 equiv. of Et3N was added for HCl salts). AlMe3 (2.5 equiv.) was slowly added and the reaction mixture was stirred at rt overnight. The reaction mixture was carefully poured in 1M aq. HCl (100 mL) and extracted with EtOAc(100 mL). The organic phase was washed with brine (100 mL), dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated to obtain the crude product as a brown solid. The crude product was purified using flash column chromatography.
