Sodium sarcosinate Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

By reacting aldehyde and hydrogen cyanide to generate glycolonitrile, then react with methylamine to generate sarcosine, and finally neutralize with sodium hydroxide to obtain the finished product. Raw material consumption quota: methylamine (90%) 310kg/t, hydrogen cyanide (85%) 290kg/t, formaldehyde (85%) 320kg/t, sodium hydroxide (90%) 400kg/t.

Uses

It is used in the production of N-acyl sarcosine, as an active agent in high-grade skin care cream, toothpaste and shampoo, high-grade medicinal soap and cosmetics. The product is also used as a dye aid for fast dyes, a rust inhibitor for lubricating oils, fiber dyeing aids, fiber dyeing aids, antistatic agents, softening agents and biochemical reagents.
