Nitroso R Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

It is made from R salt by crooked nitrification. Dissolve R salt in water, add concentrated hydrochloric acid, and cool to 5°C. Under vigorous stirring, slowly stirring, slowly adding the previously cooled sodium nitrite solution dropwise. After the addition, continue stirring for 15 min. Filter, wash the impurities with water, and then wash with ethanol once to get the pure product.

Uses

As a reagent for cobalt and potassium.
