3-Oxopentanedioic acid Use and Manufacturing
It is prepared by taking citric acid as raw material and removing formic acid in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid. In the industrial process, first put fuming sulfuric acid into the reaction tank, and when cooling to below 50℃, add citric acid in portions under stirring. The weight proportioning ratio is citric acid: fuming sulfuric acid 1: 2.34. After the addition is completed, the temperature is raised to 40-45°C, and the temperature is kept for 3h, then the temperature is lowered to below 10°C, and normal water is added dropwise (incubation below 40°C), and then cooled At about 15℃, centrifuge, rinse with ice water, and spin dry to get the finished product.
