Use water spray, foam, alcohol-resistant foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide. In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.

Personal protection: chemical protection suit and filter respirator for organic gases and vapours adapted to the airborne concentration of the substance. Remove all ignition sources. Collect leaking and spilled liquid in covered containers as far as possible.

Fireproof. Separated from oxidants. Well closed.

A harmful concentration of airborne particles can be reached quickly on spraying.

The substance is corrosive to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Corrosive on ingestion.
