1-nitroso-2-naphthol

1-Nitroso-2-naphthol Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Derived from β-naphthol by nitrosation. Stir and dissolve β-naphthol and sodium hydroxide. After cooling, add sodium nitrite, filter, the filtrate is cooled to below 0 ℃, under stirring, the temperature does not exceed 0 ℃, continuously drop 10% hydrochloric acid until the Congo red test paper turns blue. After stirring for 0.5h, it is filtered, washed with water until the chloride ion is not greater than that in tap water, and then washed once with distilled water and ethanol, filtered out the crystal, and then refined to obtain the finished product.

Uses

Organic synthesis, prevention of gum formation in gasoline, dye intermediate, analytical reagent.

2-Naphthalenol, 1-nitroso-: ACTIVE
