Methods of Manufacturing

Ethanolamine reacts with methyl acetate. This reaction is carried out under reflux in a water bath. The reaction time is 6 hours and then the finished product is collected by fractional distillation under reduced pressure.

This product is used in dye synthesis and pharmaceuticals.
