Methods of Manufacturing

Using benzonitrile, acetonitrile or carbon tetrachloride as a solvent, the triphenylphosphine and bromine are reacted to obtain a dibromotriphenylphosphorane solution, and the solvent is removed under reduced pressure to obtain the finished product.

Uses

Used as a brominating agent in organic synthesis.
