Methods of Manufacturing

In a mixture of 110g (1.0mol) hydroquinone and 206g (2.02mol) acetic anhydride, add 1 drop of concentrated sulfuric acid, stir, quickly react and exotherm, hydroquinone dissolves and reacts into a clear solution. Pour it into 800g crushed ice, filter, wash with water, and dry to obtain 186-190g finished product with a yield of 96-98%.
