Nickel oxide (Ni2O3) Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

The nickel carbonate calcining method firstly prepares the nickel sulfate solution from the metal nickel, and then performs the metathesis reaction with sodium carbonate. The product is filtered to remove sodium sulfate, then concentrated, cooled and crystallized, centrifuged, and dried. The dried nickel carbonate obtained is calcined and ball milled Crush to obtain nickel trioxide. NiSO4+Na2CO3→NiCO3+Na2SO42NiCO3[△]→Ni2O3+CO↑+CO2↑

Uses

Used in the production of storage batteries, nickel powder, electronic components and used as pigments for ceramics, glass, enamel, etc.; used as coloring pigments for ceramics, glass, and enamel. It is also used in the manufacture of nickel powder and the research of magnetic materials. Used as a pigment for ceramics and glass.
