Methods of Manufacturing

It is obtained by reduction of benzaldehyde and heptaldehyde after aldol condensation with KBH4.

Uses

It is a spice for preparing tree oil, which is used together with pentyl cinnamaldehyde, which can improve the stiffness of aldehyde fragrance and add natural effects. It is used together with phenethyl alcohol, and can be used in jasmine, violet and other fragrances, similar to jasmonone. Trace amounts are used in chocolate flavors.
